The purpose of Lionism is Service – first to community, then those in need wherever they may be.
Lions Clubs International provides goods and services to thousands of people throughout the world. We are proud to say the Lions Clubs help more people worldwide than any other service organization.
West Covina Lions Club was chartered in 1960. Since that time we have raised in excess of $700,000 to serve our community.
Although sight conservation is our primary focus, we have supported and participated in many other service activities. Our goal is to serve those in need, no matter what that need may be.
The West Covina Lions Club proudly supports the community through a variety of service programs, including free school vision screenings for thousands of local students, providing eye exams, glasses, and hearing assistance for those in need, and donating large print and audio books for the visually impaired. We also volunteer with Meals on Wheels, offer memorial scholarships to graduating seniors who serve their community, and contribute to organizations such as Canine Companions for Independence and the YWCA WINGS Domestic Violence Shelter. In addition, we sponsor the West Covina High School Leos Club to encourage youth leadership and service.
